Cookie policy

The short version
Nothing optional is set until you say yes. Analytics does not load unless you accept it, and one click in the footer turns it back off and clears what it set.
Necessary
We store your cookie choice itself, so the banner stops asking. That is the only thing set before you choose anything.
If you sign in to an account, one more necessary cookie is set:
| Name | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
| cookie choice | Remembers whether you accepted or refused analytics, so the banner stops asking. | Until you clear it |
| ssho_session | Keeps you signed in to your account. It holds a signed token, not your name, your email or your password. HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite, so it cannot be read by a script or sent from another site. | 12 hours, or until you sign out |
Neither of these needs your consent and neither can be turned off, because the first is your consent choice and the second is the only way a sign-in can work. Signing out deletes the session cookie.
Nothing at all in the signed-in area
No analytics, advertising or third-party script runs anywhere under your account. The only cookie there is the sign-in cookie above.
Analytics — optional
If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits and tell repeat visits from new ones. Advertising, personalisation and Google signals are switched off on our property.
Changing your mind
Every page footer has Cookie settings and Withdraw analytics consent. Withdrawing stops analytics and clears the cookies it set. You can also clear cookies in your browser.
Advertising
We do not run advertising cookies on this site.
