Who these terms are with

This site is operated by GCExperts LLC, a Texas limited liability company. By using it you agree to these terms.

Information, not advice

What we publish here about federal construction safety requirements is general information drawn from published sources, and we cite them so you can check. It is not legal advice, it is not safety advice for your specific project, and it does not replace your contract, the contracting officer, or the edition of the manual your contract actually invokes. Requirements change between editions. Read your own contract.

No affiliation with any agency

SSHO Now is a private company. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, the Department of Defense or any other federal body. Quotations from public federal publications are identified as such.

Enquiries

Sending a request through this site does not create a contract or an engagement, and does not guarantee that we can place anyone on your project. Any work we do for you would be under a separate written agreement.

Accounts

An account is free and optional. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what is done with your sign-in; tell us at once if you think somebody else has used it and we can end every session on the account. One person, one account — do not share a sign-in.

What you put in a profile has to be true. If you build a professional profile you are telling contractors about your own qualifications, and you are responsible for that being accurate and current. We read a profile before anyone sees it, but reading it is not verification: we do not confirm your OSHA 30-hour card with the provider, we do not check your certifications with the certifying body, and we say so on the listing. Putting a qualification you do not hold in front of a federal contractor is your problem and potentially a serious one.

An account is not a placement, a job offer or an endorsement. Being listed does not mean we have vetted you, recommended you, or will find you work, and nothing on this site makes you a “certified SSHO” — there is no such certification, as the requirements page explains. Whether you meet the bar for a particular contract is decided by the contracting officer against that contract, not by us.

We may suspend or remove an account, or take down a profile, if it contains claims we have reason to think are false, if it is used to harass somebody, or if it is used to advertise something other than the account holder's own availability. You can delete your account yourself at any time, from one page in the account area.

What we hold, for how long, and how to get a copy or have it erased is in the privacy policy.

Accuracy and availability

We try to keep this site correct and up, and we do not promise either. We may change or remove pages.

Your content

You keep what you send us; you give us permission to use it to answer you. Do not send us anything confidential, export-controlled or classified through this site.
